What Does TikTok Analytics Offer?

The metrics provided on TikTok Analytics are divided into different sections for your easy understanding. The interface you get may be different depending on your device, but the information is typically the same. You usually get all the metrics divided into 4 sections. These sections are:

Overview

This tab consists of general information about the growth of your profile views, likes, comments, shares, and the change in the number of followers, whether there is an increase or decrease in the values. You can also check these analytics for a custom duration by applying the limit of 7 days, 28 days, or 60 days, providing details about the period of change in performance.

The option to check traffic sources makes it easier for you to evaluate the regions in which your content is going viral. Additionally, the option to check the search query leading to your content gives you keywords and hashtags to incorporate in your posts.

Content

This section is for the more specific analytics for your content posted. It shows information about the top 10 videos posted on your account, ranked based on views, likes, and new followers from them. You can also get more details, such as its performance, traffic sources, and audience retention. It allows you to evaluate which type of content aligns the best with your targeted audience.

Followers

This tab is dedicated specifically to your followers. It allows you to evaluate your follower count, the number of followers in your selected specific time, and the percentage between following and non-following viewers. You can also get graphs on the difference in followers by age, gender, and location. It allows you to decide the best uploading time with its ability to track the hours of your followers.

TikTok Live

If you often do live sessions with your audience, you must forecast the performance of your live session. This will help you get new ideas for your next live sessions by noticing what’s being encouraged by your audience. This section gives you insights about live sessions, hosted in the past 7 to 28 days.

These insights include total views, session durations, new followers from the live session, and unique viewers you are getting. It also keeps a record of virtual diamond gifts sent by your viewers and the viewers with the most engagements and donations.

How To Create Your Detailed Analytics Report

Inspecting TikTok analytics isn’t just about noticing changes in your account’s performance; creating a detailed analytics report and further using it to improve your content-making strategy is also crucial. Identify trends and key metrics and then create a structured report for a better understanding of what you need to do next for your further growth. While creating your report, you need to keep the following questions in mind:

Which Video Has the Best Engagement?

This will help you identify content with the most audience retention.

When Was The Engagement On Peak?

Allowing you to find the best posting times.

Who Is Your Audience?

This question will help you create content suitable for the most engaging audience.

What Trends Have the Most Engagement?

This will help you evaluate videos that are performing well and videos that are ignored by the audience.

How To Use Analytics Report In Your Content-Making Strategy?

Now, once you’re done completely understanding the analytics of your content and making a structured report with that information, your next step is making changes in your content strategy accordingly. It includes creating content that is performing well according to analytics reports and avoiding content that is being untouched by the audience. Following are the changes that you need to make according to each key metric you noted during the analytical research.

Post the Content That Works Best

You can perform this step by checking the videos with the most watch time, audience retention, and engagement. This represents the interest of your followers and targetted audience in that specific type of content. Adjust your content strategy to create more content similar to these videos in format, style, and topics.

Post The Content On The Best Time

For this step, you need to check analytical data about the peak active hours of your audience and the duration of changes in trends. This shows intervals with the highest possibilities of good engagement. Try posting your videos on the interval and time that has the most engagement.

Use Optimized Length For Your Videos

Check the format and length of videos with high audience retention rates. This shows that those videos are according to the attention span of your audience, resulting in improved reach of the content.

Identify Your Audience

You must create content for a specific targetted audience for improved engagement of your profile. Use your followers’ analytics and evaluate the majority of the audience with similar stats (gender, age, and location). Create content using sounds, hashtags, and captions that match the majority of your followers list.

Compare Your Analytic Report with Trending Creators

Other than making changes according to your analytical report only, adapting the strategies of your trending competitors is also important for improved reach and growth. Compare your report with the progress of trending TikTokers in your targeted region, such as Indonesia. You can use tools with databases such as trending Indonesian TikTokers to evaluate trending creators in your region and compare stats with them.

Conclusion

Gaining an audience on TikTok isn’t just about creating more and more content. Using TikTok analytics to check its performance and make changes accordingly is also crucial for fostering the growth of your account. But you must keep in mind that the analytics should only be an addition to the content-making strategy while adjusting the strategy according to other parameters as well.
